Restaurant & Bar
The Watembezi Restaurant
Either soak in the vibrant ambience on the terrace outside or the mellow comfort inside in the main dining room or relax by the fire after dinner and enjoy genial Kenyan hospitality. You have a choice between an inexpensive menu of tasty, wholesome meals and a daily special varied selection of chef’s delicacies and authentic Kenyan treats.

The Reggae Bar
The Reggae Bar is Upperhill Campsite’s brown café where fellow travelers meet and globetrotters tell their adventure stories over a cold award-winning local beer with Guinness at over 7% alcohol content. This lively bar attracts an interesting mixed set of Nairobi residents. Locals and travelers meet and mingle and share impressions of life in and out of Kenya. Beers sold at reasonable prizes at under 2USD per bottle for a quenching local or international beer. Cigarettes are under 1USD per packet

Local music bands including Big Matata, Mandingo and multi- award-winning Kenyan duo Necessary Noize have graced our campsite alongside international stars Glen Washington and Jamaican group TOK. Sundowner impromptu jam-sessions in campsite garden may offer a pleasant alternative to early afternoon entertainment.

Africa’s premier continental pay channel MNET on DStv featured the UpperHill Campsite on the Studio 53 programme highlighting the vibrant yet exclusive night spot that it had become over the years.
